Preschool Program [ages 2.5-4.9]​ [2,3,4, and 5-day options]


The PreK program provides children with a gentle, caring environment where they can grow and thrive.

  • Develop children's imagination, creativity and social skills through active work and imaginative play.

  • Introduce children to language and culture through stories, verses, songs and puppetry.

  • Nurture children's reverence and their connection to the world through festivals and celebrations.

  • Establish a foundation for literacy, numeracy and content area inquiry through meaningful and engaging activities.
     

Kindergarten Program [ages 4.9-6]  [5 or 4 day options]

The Kindergarten program day has rhythm and balance, with a healthy mixture of active and quiet activities that are designed to provide children with K-1st grade readiness skills upon completion of the program. The program is differentiated to accommodate children at different levels of readiness: 4-Day Program for Children 4.9 years; and 5 Day a week for children 5+ years of age.

This is a 5 full day program, which involves students in all specialty classes, as well as a gradual

introduction to the academic and social skills necessary to make the transition to

public or private school grades. Activities include:

  • Storytelling, puppet and marionette plays,

  • Singing, circle games and movement,

  • Painting, drawing and modeling,

  • Baking and cooking that integrates science, literacy and numeracy activities,

  • Outdoor play and gardening work,

  • Festival and seasonal celebrations and daily rhythms,

  • Early literacy and numeracy activities and

  • Early subject area introduction through integrated thematic instruction.

For Fall 2019, a Grades 1, 5-Day Program is offered

for children 5.10-7 years of age

Early Care and After Care Services Available 

 

Early Care Services from 7:30-8:30 a.m.  Charges during the school year are $5.00 per hour or $9.00 for two children.

After Care Services from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
